Jo is a registered member of the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists as well as the General Council of Massage Therapists. A mother of three, she is also a trained doula /birth companion. She qualified after a vigorous two year training in both Swedish and Therapeutic massage at the Maitri Foundation in Stroud. Following six months working for Herefordshire Women’s Aid, she set up her own practice at the beginning of 2007.
“My clients often come for treatment at crucial times in their lives or simply when they are feeling tired, stressed or run down. The nurturing touch of therapeutic massage offers the time and space for profound relaxation and can greatly assist the body in both health and disease, including the treatment of many disorders. Most people find treatment hugely enjoyable, and many now use it as a part of their on-going health-care programme.”
During the first session, a detailed case history is taken, so that safe, appropriate treatment can be tailored to each individual.
Jo holds a warm and safe environment to welcome clients, whether they are needing help with emotional or mental upheaval, or many conditions such as muscular pains and strains, sciatica, back neck and shoulder pain, and headaches.
