Shiatsu
Vicky Evans
Passionate about creative movement and holistic therapies, Vicky Evans discovered shiatsu in midlife and trained for four years in Bristol and London. She is a registered member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS) with professional insurance and holds an MA in Arts Practise, specialising in creative and somatic movement. Vicky offers grassroots shiatsu and movement workshops in the Wye Valley.
Shiatsu has transformed Vicky’s emotional strength, inner calm, and connection to herself, her relationships, and her surroundings. During sessions, she uses her hands to explore and restore energy (Qi) imbalances through gentle or dynamic touch, joint manipulation, and acupressure point connection.
Shiatsu stimulates the body’s natural healing response, making it effective for issues like back pain, digestive problems, stress, and emotional imbalance. It promotes deep relaxation and helps prevent stress buildup, improving overall wellbeing.
Vicky believes that by guiding clients to tap into their body’s innate healing power, they can gain greater awareness of their emotional, physical, and mental states, leading to lasting positive change.
In her free time, she enjoys swimming, running, hiking, yoga, tai chi, and singing in a community choir.
